These light weight oak leaf drop earrings have a delicate movement to them that mimics a leaf floating to the ground in autumn. Their fun move and intricate leaves are sure to make them a new favorite. The sterling silver chain and ear wires complement the rich tones of the brass oak leaves.
Details:
All of the leaves were cut with a handheld jeweler's saw from original drawings. Each one is engraved and textured to bring it to life before doing the final patina.
Each leaf is made from brass sheet metal with sterling silver chains, jump rings and hooks. Each jump ring is soldered securely closed.
The ear wires are made from 20g sterling silver.
Each earring weighs about half of a US penny (2.5 grams), making them extremely lightweight and comfortable.
All leaves are finished to a high shine polish. If you would like them to be refinished to a satin polish free of charge please leave a note with your order.
Variations:
A- Bur Oak measures 2 7/8" long from the top of the ear wire to the base of the leaf. They feature 15/16" x 7/16" leaves. Each earring weighs approximately 1.2 grams.
B- Black Oak measures 2 1/2"long from the top of the ear wire to the base of the leaf. They feature 5/8" x 7/8" leaves. Each earring weighs approximately 1.6 grams.
C- White Oak measures 2 7/8" from the top of the ear wire to the base of the leaves. Each leave measures 1/2" x 7/8". Each earring weighs approximately 1.3 grams.
D- Red Oak measures 2 7/8" from the top of the ear wire to the base of the leaves. Each leave measures 11/16" x 1". Each earring weighs approximately 1.6 grams.
E- Black Oak measures 2 3/4" from the top of the ear wire to the base of the leaves. Each leave measures 5/8" x 7/8". Each earring weighs approximately 1.6 grams.
